WHY: "We know how generous Rockies' fans are, and it's never too
early to think about people who need some extra help buying toys for their
children during the Holidays,” said Danny Landau, president of the Shop’s board
of directors. "The Rockies toy drive will give us a jumpstart on our collection
this year."

The Denver Santa Claus Shop is a volunteer-run nonprofit
organization that sets up temporary toy stores for families who need help with
gift-giving for their children. Families qualified as needing assistance are
referred to the Shop through a variety of supporting agencies, including the
Department of Human Services and The Salvation Army. No other local nonprofit
serves so many needy at one time.
